新一代吉普大切诺基将在2011年推出
新一代大切诺基预计将在2010年中期投入量产，第一辆车将在2010年底或2011年初下线。经过升级的大切诺基不仅将可选装柴油引擎，而且消费者还可以选择安装双模式混合动力系统，该系统由克莱斯勒与戴姆勒公司共同研发。克莱斯勒开发新一代大切诺基的一个主要目的是为了用于出口。在出口车型中将能很容易的改成右舵版本。由于克莱斯勒非常热衷于开拓海外市场，包括在澳大利亚、南非和英国这些国家老款车已经销售很多年了，因此下一代大切诺基也将出口到这些国家。
New Jeep Grand Chrokee due in 2011
The new Grand Cherokee is slated to begin production in mid-2010, with first availability in late 2010 or early 2011. Not only will the updated Grand Cherokee get a diesel motor as an option, but buyers will also have the choice of fitting a two-mode hybrid powertrain, built in conjunction with Daimler AG.
Designing for export is a primary consideration in the development of the new Grand Cherokee. Being easily converted to right hand drive is chief among the priorities in a proper export vehicle. Since Chrysler is very intent on developing its foreign markets, places like Australia, South Africa and Great Britain, which have already had the aging outgoing model for some time, could see the next-generation Grand Cherokee as well.
